The paper turns the ORv3 battery backup unit from a passive reserve into an actively coordinated buffer: coordinated BBU discharge absorbs AI workload transients, lowers the rack's peak-to-average ratio, and shortens post-fault recovery. It is the technical foundation of POM, XMight's open contribution to OCP Rack & Power.
